This is for a 1926 theatre token was advertising the Charlie Chaplin movie "The Gold Rush".
The publicists threw promotional brass tokens into the streets, which the public scrambled to claim with the first time in Manchester, England, where the publicity stunt ended up stopping traffic and led to the promoters being fined.
