    DESCRIPTION:
    For your consideration, we present here an old Deer Lodge Prison hitched horsehair bridle. The horsehair is done with multiple colors and is accented with many well executed knots, handmade horsehair rosettes and hand braided Kangaroo leather reins. This headstall has an old
    Buermann
    spade bit with bird design shanks on it. This is a good looking and highly collectible old bridle.
    MAKER:
    Buermann
    on the bit and the headstall is Deer Lodge Prison made.
    APPROX AGE: Circa 1900 on the headstall, a bit newer on the bit.
    SIZE: Bit has a 5 inch mouth piece and is 6-1/2 inches long overall. The headstall is a standard adjustable size and fits most average sized horses
    CONDITION: Pretty good for its age, some wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
