  • Featured Refinements: Bridle Rosette
  • Provenance: Ownership History Not Available
  • Condition: In nice clean condition. May be much older than I have estimated.Pink (which may have actually been red) background has age related fading, color loss and what best can be described as stains. But these were traditionally handpainted and the brass button frame that encases the button in the glass dome, appears airtight, so while it could have been moisture, I feel as if its just age.No markings.Button, frame and backing has age related tarnish and light rust, I did not attempt to clean or polish, I personally like its well worn patina. Please look at all pictures closely, disregarding the reflections, and use your ZOOM. Read description carefully and note mentioned FLAWS.As is in ANTIQUE condition and as Described. NO RETURNS!

    Description

Antique Brooch Horse Bridle Rosette-Jumping Horse under Domed Glass-Victorian Horse Rosette-Collectible Equestrian Gifts-Cottagecore
Bridle rosettes were a Victorian trend that lasted well into the 1930s. Not only were they traditional decorations on horse bridles but they were functional as well, by holding the headstalls together.
Each bridle rosette tells the story of it's owner and the historical era it came from!
Today they are not only collectible but also upcycled into pins, necklaces and cool decor!
Here we have a well dressed rider jumping over a wood post fence, against a pink background.
Pictures do not do this piece justice, for it was very difficult to photograph, I tried in all different lights, but could not capture it's beauty without a reflection, for that I am sorry.....
