    Description

    This is an original beer barrel from the York Brewing Company in York, PA (circa 1893-1894).  This barrel measures 16 inches long and approx 13 inches in diameter at the widest point.  This original, handmade barrel is complete with all steel hoops and bunghole plug.  Both steel head loops are loose, but should be able to be re-set if one desires.  Of course this item would be for display purposes only since I doubt it would be able to hold any liquids after about 130 years.  I will also include in an old wooden tap/spout, but this was not with the barrel when I purchased it. The barrel weighs 16 pounds and 6 ounces.  This is a rare opportunity to own an original piece of York, PA brewery history.  I can deliver this for no charge to a local buyer.  I am selling off my collection after spending many years doing this as one of my hobbies so please see my other auctions for more collectibles.
