    Description

    Up for auction is a
    Antq Sliding Ornate Horse Riding Bridle Bit with Whale Shaped Cast Iron Side Pieces. It weighs .70 lb. and is 5" wide. The side rings used to attach the reins have a 1 1/2" diameter. The whale shaped side pieces are 4 1/2" long and 2 3/4" tall. There is a double wire tongue bit with each wire attached to one of the side rings. It is nicely designed. I'm guessing it wasn't very comfortable for the horses mouth though. There are traces of the original nickle plating on the inside corners of the side pieces. It must have been used long and hard to wear off all of that plating.
    -   This old piece of tack is in good, well used cosmetic condition and looks to be complete.
