A Compensated LEFTY Brass Nut to Help You Achieve Perfect Intonation
Hello again from AxeMasters. Guitar intonation is an often overlooked procedure which, when done properly, helps you get each string properly tuned.  This means that your guitar sounds great regardless of whether you're fretting or playing open chords. How many times have you been playing, sounding great, when you bounce into an open C chord and suddenly the tuning sounds terrible?  A properly compensated nut will fix this.

In our experience, the treble strings are typically the most bothersome with respect to intonation.  So, we've specially slotted our Lefty compensated nut at the G, B and high E slots.  By removing material to the proper depth in those three slots, the scale length for those strings is increased just enough.  Now, even if bridge saddle travel is nearing the end, you'll still get the intonation "just right".
Our flat-bottom nut is hand ground and sanded from solid musical brass and round-slotted for perfect string placement. All hand-made - no machines. Very attractive brushed surface finish.  3/16" thick, 5/16" tall, 1 11/16" long.
Special Note
:  Some newer Gibson guitars are using a thicker 1/4" nut.  Please let us know if this is what you need.
