Description
The Bahamas 1 dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2001 with new security attributes. This particular banknote comes in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. The obverse features the Father of the Nation of the Bahamas Lynden O. Pindling, a coral and a fish, and a map. Its reverse side centers the Royal Bahamas police band. A conch shell and the national emblem are also presented on the back of the banknote. Furthermore, the 156 x 67 mm paper bill has a sand dollar as its registration device. It also has a windowed security thread with a demetallized BAHAMAS and a watermark which consists of a Spanish galleon.
