The Bahamas 1 dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2017 with enhanced security attributes and a vertical-oriented reverse side. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and TAP authenticated. The obverse side features Lynden O. Pindling who is known to be the Father of the Nation of the Bahamas. It also bears a map, a Lignum vitae flower, and a flying owl in green incandescent ink. On the banknotes reverse are a standing drum major holding a staff and the Royal Bahamas police band. Security attributes of the banknote includes a sand dollar as its registration device, a green-to-gold windowed security thread with a demetallized ONE, and a watermark consisting of Lynden O. Pindling and an electrotype . The 156 x 67 mm banknote is composed of paper and polymer substrate.
