    Description

David Hickson Sunburst Aluminum Buster Welch Cutter Shank Sweet Iron Cathedral Bit
This is a nice pre-owned "Buster Welch" style shank show bit made by David Hickson for Sunburst Bits and Spurs of Missouri with a 1/2 inch diameter sweet iron 5 inch wide Cathedral port mouthpiece.  Inspired by the Legendary Buster Welch, these bits allow the natural movement of the horse's head.  The lightweight Aluminum shanks provide authority when needed with a reduced angle that increases signal and slows the response from the rider's hand.  The polished, aluminum shanks measure 7.5 inches long with a 3 inch purchase for a 2.5 to one leverage ratio.  The bit weighs 12 ounces so it is a very nice bit for a light and responsive horse that likes to carry a lightweight bit.  This bit features a swept back grazing style aluminum cheek and is marked D.H on the inside left cheek and Sunburst on the inside right cheek.
The 3 inch tall Cathedral post is a traditional bit for moderate palate pressure and tongue pressure making it an excellent tool for developing control in the performance movement.  This stunning perfectly balanced bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.   Don't miss out on the chance to add this great Sunburst maker marked Buster Welch style cutting bit to your training and show collection.
