DENNIS MORELAND USA COWBOY TACK SWEET IRON TWISTED WIRE SNAFFLE GAG BIT #820This is a
DISCONTINUED
slightly rusted gag twisted wire snaffle bit hand made by Dennis Moreland's Cowboy Tack, mfg #820. This is a pre-owned sweet iron bit and has some slight rusting as is typical with iron bits. This bit is NO LONGER available anywhere and is a great collectible for those who appreciate the extremely high quality of all the tack manufactured by Dennis Moreland. Dennis Moreland quality products are renowned for their longevity and useability due to the high level of craftmanship and Dennis' lifelong love for horses; Dennis’ daily riding and training, along with regular showing, gave him the knowledge and understanding of what works well on a horse. This allowed him to design and craft the hand-made equipment that riders kept coming back for.
This bit encourages the horse to flex at the poll and submit softly to the bit.
The ergonomically shaped twisted wire snaffle mouthpiece measures 5-1/2 inches wide by 3/8 inch wide. The total length of the shanks is 8-1/2 inches and the length of the gag portion is 1-1/2 inches with a 4 inch purchase. The inside of the right shank is marked DMI 820. Dennis' bits currently range in price from just under 0 for a simple ring snaffle to almost 0 for his Spanish bits.
