Embossed company seal lower left. Certificate

was issued to
Charles N. Achwarth
for 150 shares of capital stock ( per share). Company capital was ,000,000. Hand signed by company president and secretary. Certificate is about 8” x 10.5.” Black print with red-brown borders and underprint. Underground mining vignette.
The Dixie Queen Gold Mining Company owned mines near Kewa, Washington, in Ferry County, within the Covada Mining District (now part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area). The district is west of the Columbia River, south of Steinger Creek and north of Nez Perce Creek.
