    For your consideration is this old half breed bit attributed to Juan Francisco (J.F.)
    Echavarria
    . It features typical engraving and chased iron work identified as the style of
    Echavarria
    . This one is very old, likely being made in the 1890s to 1910. It is in all original condition. Most of his career, Juan was a bit and spur maker in the San Jose, CA. area. He supplied bits and spurs to various shops and saddleries, including L.D. Stone, Visalia, Main and Winchester and others.

    APPROX AGE: Circa 1890s - 1910.
    SIZE: It has a 4-1/2" mouth piece. It is 7" long overall.
    CONDITION: Pretty good for its age, some wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
