Discontinued by Greg Darnall Originals, this may be your only chance to buy a new and unused with tags engraved Cavalry shank bit from the Collection.  Very universal, this medium low curb port bit can be used on both young and older horses that work well with a mid level mouthpiece.
The beautifully engraved lightweight aluminum "Cavalry" style shanks measure 7-1/2 inches long with a 3 inch long purchase for a 2-1/2 to one leverage ratio.  The comfortable ball hinge 1/2 inch diameter mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide.
The medium low curb port applies broad palate pressure, some tongue relief and moderate pressure across the bars.  It can have a relatively quick signal with a tight curb or increased palate pressure with a loose curb chain.  The sweet iron construction  with copper inlaid on the back side is designed to rust creating a pleasant sweet taste.
This medium-low port curb bit is for horses that require tongue relief and bar pressure.  The port measures 2 inches wide by 1-1/4 inches high which gives good tongue relief.  It is a very good curb bit that demonstrates great balance and has a lot of
feel that will translate to your communication with your horse.
