    Description

Handmade Sterling Silver Low Curb Sweet Iron Cutting Cutter Colt Grazing Bit
This is a really nice unmarked handmade sweet iron low curb cutting grazing bit with sterling silver conchos.
This is a well maintained very lightly used pre-owned bit with light rusting as is typical of sweet iron bits.
The bit features two gorgeous engraved 1-1/4 inch diameter sterling silver conchos, one mounted on each side of the shank. The bit has a 5 inch wide x 3/8 diameter low port curb mouth which makes it a great bit for a young horse getting acquainted with a leverage bridle.  The shanks measure 6-1/2 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a mild 2.6 to 1 leverage ratio.
The bit is in good using condition as shown in the photos, please use the close up feature for details.  This is a great bit for starting a colt in the bridle or using on your great, broke cutting horse.  The sweet iron mouthpiece will encourage salivation to lessen the severity of the bit.   This is a nice light little bit that weighs 10.65 ounces.
