    Description

For sale is a neat old 100 year old plus beer bottle label image from an old salesman sample book, circa 1890-1910 or so.  Can be framed and matted and would look terrific!!  The book was taken apart and the images are being sold individually for the most part as the book was falling apart at this point.  This particular label image is from The Lone Star Brewing or Brewery Co for their Cabinet brand of beer.   This label image is about 4 3/4 inches long and just over 3 inches tall approximately.  There is something in the paper just above the top right of the label which is in the paper but it is not elevated at touch? I am not sure what it is, but this is the only one in the entire book of 100 + labels which had this type of spotting.  Doesnt really effect the label image at all other than barely touching the edge of the label.  A very rare image!! This is an image which came from an old SALESMAN SAMPLE Book which had a string on it from 100 years ago plus.  The images appear to be the exact same size as the labels from what I can see of the 30 or so St Louis labels which were in the book and which I know about.  So I am going to assume they are all the same size.  These are not the actual labels, but are images.  Many are not known from what I can see from Bob Kays' book, and many are Z labels, meaning only one or two were known when the books were done about ten years ago.  These are great pre-pro label images.  So these are not labels, but images of the labels from 100-125 years ago.  I can assume this book was created one time and is the only one in existence?  Just a guess though.  Please disregard the Antique Advertising Expert notice on the images.  It is posted on the image to avoid anyone trying to copy and reproduce the images.  NONE of the logos are covering any label issues behind the label.
Buyer pays .50 for shipping in a rigid mailer.   REMEMBER, these are all authentic 100 plus year old plus label images that the salesman used to sell labels from an old printer, so they are not the actual label itself.  They are images of the label, and from what I can see, are exactly the same as the labels.   These can easily be matted and look beautiful in so many ways.  Great historical breweriana here, so if you collect old corner signs, reverse on glass, serving trays, back bar light or chalk statue like pieces, matchsafes, old beer bottles, foam scrapers, etc etc. this might be perfect for you. Guaranteed ancient from the salesman sample book find in Saint Louis recently.
