    Description

Luminox Series 3080 Colormark Chronograph Quartz Watch w/ Box - NEEDS WORK. Condition is "Pre-owned".
    Okay, I really goofed.
I needed a new battery and I took my watch to the mall to a watch repair place and did not read the fine print. This particular watch repair does not do waterproof watch battery replacements AND they don't tell you when you drop off your 0+ watch for a new battery. Sadly, the watch is currently not waterproof. I believe there are some shops, Luminox, and others that can correct this failure, but probably not a place in a mall.
I was so disgusted with myself afterward that I stashed the running but no longer waterproof watch in a drawer and forgot about it.
Now the battery is dead again but once replaced, it should run but that statement is only based on the fact that it was running when it got tucked away several years ago. I make no claims that the watch will run again, only that it was running in the dark in a drawer a few years ago. It's a gamble, but you could come out a big winner.
In taking the photos I can see that there is a small scratch on the crystal between 7 and 8 on the dial. I hadn't noticed that before taking the photos. So on top of needing a battery and potentially new waterproofing, the watch also needs a crystal.
And the watch repair place in the mall ... sigh, when I picked up my watch after the battery was installed they then informed me that it was no longer waterproof. ARGH. It was when I started to create a scene that they kindly pointed out that I had signed their work order which said in the fine print that the watch would no longer be waterproof.
My mistake could be your win. Ask questions and hopefully I will have the answers.
