    Description
    This is a lightly used pre-owned steel bit with a medium port curb mouthpiece and "Doug Lilly" style shank cheeks maker marked A.L.
    This mouthpiece features a 1-1/2 inch tall by 1-1/4 inch wide medium port with copper inlays on the back of the port, allowing tongue relief and promoting salivation.  This bit provides lateral control of the poll and shoulders and is a great choice to isolate the shoulders and generate lift.  It has copper inlaid on the back side to keep the horse’s mouth moist.
    This bit is a great work or show bit and is really nicely balanced and well made.
    The width of the mouthpiece makes it a perfect choice for a young stock horse or Arabian.  I have not been able to identify the maker but this is a really
    nice quality bit with great balance, and feel that will translate to your communication with your horse.
    The shanks measure 7 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 2.8 to 1 leverage ratio.  The mouthpiece measures 4-5/8 inches wide by 1/2 diameter.  The port is 1-1/2 inch tall by 1-1/4 inches wide.  The bit weighs in at a super light 10.5 ounces and is a great bit for a green, sensitive, or young horse.
    This bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and is a useful tool to add to your tackroom.
