Listed here is the vintage Waterman #3 from the 1930s. What makes this model so special is that this pen here is fitted with a color-coded Yellow nib. The Yellow nib is the "round" nib which is especially smooth at a greater range on angles to accommodate southpaws or left-handed writers so that they would not get ink on their hands and arms as they write across the page. This pen still has the original price tag indicating the .00 price and the yellow nib with a yellow dot on the center of the tag. This is museum quality. Good Luck!

AP and BARREL
This pen is new, mint, and unused save for the writing sample. The imprints are as crisp as the day it left the factory in Canada. I'm going to assume the '3' stamped on the bottom is pristine but it is covered up by the price tag. A good problem to have if I may so myself. The nickle-plated trim looks very good.
WATERMAN YELLOW 14K  NIB
This Waterman 3# fountain pen features its correct "YELLOW" nib. This nib has a moderate amount of flex. Please see the writing sample for more details. The ball tip makes it feel like writing with a velvety feel. Sort of like a Pilot Varsity that has an outrageously large and smooth tip.  The tipping is pristine. The tines are perfectly aligned and the nib is oriented properly on the ebonite feed. The nib is nice and smooth with optimal flow for vellum paper. I used it on 52 gsm Tomoe River paper with Montblanc JFK Navy Blue ink.
RESTORATION SERVICES
This vintage Waterman #3 fountain pen has been cleaned and tested for function (filling and writing). It is READY TO WRITE upon filling with standard fountain pen ink.
A NEW 100% Silicone ink sac
has been cut to the right length and installed with talcum powder (dry lubricant). This will prevent degradation to the vintage celluloid which is damaged by aging latex ink sacs.

Beyond making sure that the pens I restore write, I like to make sure they
write well. Using a loupe, premium micro-abrasives, and when necessary, specially made nib repair tools each nib is carefully adjusted to provide an enjoyable writing experience based on the particular characteristics of the nib. This classic Waterman Taperite pen is an absolute delight to write with.
The Waterman #3 fountain pen has been cleaned. I want to leave this specimen in as close to original condition as possible.
