Incorporated under the laws of the Territory of Montana. This cancelled stock certificate is issued for 1000 shares of stock and issued on March 31, 1885. 7 1/4"  X 14 1/2" (stub attached). Complete stub is attached and in very good condition.
Suitable for framing or just to collect as a piece of early American mining history. These mines were located in Butte Montana. William A. Clark who became one of the three "Copper Kings" of Butte Montana along with Marcus Daly and F. Augustus Heinze. Clark also served as president of both Montana state constitutional conventions in 1884 and 1889. He later became a U.S. Senator.
