This sale is for a new, never used original equipment starter gear that was found on many Elgin and West Bend outboard motors . They made a number of different recoils back then but this was the most common one so we strongly advise for you to look at the parts illustration to determine if this will match your application. We do not have parts manuals for this brand - only the info supplied here.

If your starter looks like the schematic shown above odds are this is the recoil gear you need.  Many of the original production gears were black so do not let the color of the gear fool you.
