    1903 at Cincinnati, Ohio. Incorporated in the Territory of New Mexico.
    Gold embossed company seal lower left. Certificate
    No. 717
    was issued to
    Emil Bauer for 5,000 shares
    of capital stock ( per share). Company capital was ,500,000. Hand signed by company
    president John H. Middendorf
    and secretary. Certificate is about 8” x 10.” Black print with gold underprint. Seven mining vignettes around borders.
    The Prosper Gold Mining & Milling Company owned gold mines in Sierra County, New Mexico near the town of Hillsboro in the southwest part of the state (Hillsboro Mining District). The company owned the Cincinnati Mine about four miles from Hillsboro, where ore was hauled to a stamp mill in the mining camp for processing.
    Condition:  Very Fine
    , two vertical folds, minor creasing, no tears, minor signs of wear/handling/toning (see photos), pen cancelled.
