This well maintained pre-owned bit is a very nice used aluminum shank show bit with a low port mouthpiece featuring a covered solid copper cricket or roller.  The bit has some light surface wear from use.  The bit features a 4-7/8 inch wide mouthpiece with a 1-1/2 inch high copper covered port and a solid copper cricket roller.  The shanks measure 8 inches long, and the purchase measures 2-1/4 inches for a 3.56 to 1 leverage ratio.  This is a nicely weighted and balanced bit and weighs 13.99 ounces.
This particular bit design adds extra palate pressure and provides medium tongue relief when reins are used.  When the horse brings the cricket into play, it relaxes the horse's lower jaw giving more flexibility in head and neck.
