    Description

Here is a very nice and rather rare New York stoneware beer bottle with wonderful graphics dating from the late 1880's to 1890's.
The Trade Mark pictures a Shield with a Settler to the left and an Indian on the right side. The lettering underneath reads, "Albany Steam Bottling Works" On both sides is a scroll intertwined with floral motif bearing the words, Sparkling, Wholesome, Invigorating, Stimulating, Nourishing and Pure. At the bottom is the Hinckel badge stating, "Hinckel Brewing Cos. Jug-lager, krug-bier, Albany, N.Y. U.S.A.
This bottle is about 2 5/8" across the base and stands 8 5/8" tall. It is in very good condition. There is general crazing and a micro-chip to the back of the rim but no cracks (the line on the base is a fold in the clay made during forming) or dings. Check out pictures for detail.
This a great old pottery beer bottle with super graphics.
