This is a "retired" Reinsman
"Seven" shank
copper roller dogbone snaffle bit #624.  The mouthpiece is still available on Reinsman's website, as are the shanks, but the bit is no longer manufactured in this particular combination,  The shank makes this bit a "Stage D" due to the leverage of the seven shanks.
The three piece design increases pressure on the bars for more direct control, while eliminating pressure on the roof of the mouth.  It contours to the mouth for a natural fit, and offers great flexibility.  The copper roller is a great addition for nervous horses and encourages saliva production for a comfortable fit in the mouth.  The dogbone mouthpiece has a soft, but effective, feel and gives a horse bend while keeping the hip in place.  It works well on all types of horses.  The copper roller and sweet iron mouthpiece increase salivation and which promotes relaxation. This bit is designed with low leverage, sweet iron snaffle bars which increase salivation for a soft mouth and increased response, and a short purchase for quick release.  The bit features golden glide bushings with further enhance the smoothness of the independent cheek movement allowing for more precise cues.  The design eliminates the cheek connection from pinching the horse's lips and smooths the movement of the cheek piece for better feel and performance.
The shanks also swivel from the mouthpiece to enhance lateral control.  The mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter.  The shanks measure 8 inches in length with a 2-1/4 inch purchase for a 3.55 to 1 leverage ratio.
