This auction is for a new, never used original equiptment starter gear that was used on many many different years and models of outboard motors made for Montgomery Wards and Chrysler. If your starter looks like the schematic above odds are this is the starter gear you need. Also some of these gears were black- this replaces the black gears too. If in doubt send me an email or message with your make and model number and I will try to verify. For sure fits all 8 thru 15 hp models made from 1976 to 1987.
