NØRSK began in 2006 when Norwegian designer Brian Undlin was granted the privilege by the Olympic Committee of presenting his watch design to the medal winners of the winter olympics (where Norway shines brightest) in Torino. (see below for details; these were gifts and not purchased by the Olympic committee to represent them)

Hver detalj av dette NORSK-armbåndsuret er designet for deg ? norsk medaljevinner i disse Olympiske lekene. Designet heter  ?mester i hvile?.   NORSK er først og fremst et sportsur, fordi dette er noe du aldri kan komme bort i fra. En gang vant du en olympisk medalje og du vil alltid huskes som idrettsutøver. Every detail of this NORSK watch has been carefully designed for you; the medal winners of Norway in these Olympics. The design is called "Champion in repose"  The NORSK is first of all a sports timepiece, because this is something you can never change. Once you won that Olympic medal you are forever remembered as a sportsman. Wherever you go and whatever you do in life from this point on you can never change the fact that you are a champion and you have made Norwegians around the world proud.  The Vikings have always been conquerors and you have proved this once again.  The NORSK is not merely a fine sports timepiece, it is designed specifically for the champion after the victory. It is designed with the "high polish" of world class fashion design to be worn at celebrations. The NORSK is designed for the champion to wear while celebrating the victory; not during the pain of training before the competition. This is the reason the NORSK is only presented to champions, not merely contenders.   The NORSK is not only a sports timepiece but more specifically a divers watch, designed to go to the depths of the ocean. This is carefully chosen to represent the depths you had to go to preparing for this great challenge. I understand some peoples skepticism concerning the "Olympic" claim - because of this I have been reported to Ebay MANY times and even the FBI. But the reason the ad and the claim remain - is because it is true. Please understand that although I received verification from the Olympic committee that the watches would be given to the athletes, they were gifts. I am not representing that the Olympic committee commissioned me to have these made and then presented them as the "official Olympic watch of Norway" I have a photo of a Norway medal winner wearing the watch if you'd like to see it.

Although this design is decidedly a Men's design it was decided after feedback from the 2006 batch (the Women preferred the Men's design) to present the same watch to both male and female medal winners in 2014
