This is an awesome new and unused Tom Balding Baseline #88 Smooth Snaffle mouthpiece bit with a 6.75 inch long Loomis style shank.  The bit does not have the original tags, but has never been used on a horse.
This beautifully crafted Baseline bit features a Short shank in a satin finish.  The mouthpiece is Tom Balding's smooth Snaffle© which is slightly curved to fit a horse's mouth more comfortably.
The bit features Loomis style loose cheek steel satin finished shanks

The bit is marked with TB USA for Tom Balding on the the centers of both shank tubes.
The mouthpiece measures 5.125 inches wide x .375 inches in diameter.  The shanks measure 6.75 inches long with a 3 inch purchase for faster response and excellent lift for control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end with a 2.25 to 1 leverage ratio.   This bit weighs in at 13 ounces for great feel and response.
