    Description

Unmarked German Silver Steel Doug Lilly Shank Pleasure Cathedral A Frame Bit
This is a beautiful unmarked German Silver Engraved pleasure bit with a modified "S" shank typically called a "Doug Lilly" style shank named after the renowned pleasure horse trainer that made this style famous.  The bit is in well maintained pre owned condition with some rust spots as shown in the photos.
The Cathedral Port Pleasure mouth offers the maximum in tongue relief and the rotation of the mouthpiece will alert your horse as soon as you pick up the reins.
The slightly tipped angle of the port adds more tongue relief and the sweet iron mouthpiece encourages salivation for a soft mouth.
This bit has a long 3-1/4 inch purchase for fast response and excellent lift for control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end.  The shanks measure 8-1/2 inches long  with a 2.61 to 1 leverage ratio, and the mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 1/2 inch in diameter
with a 3 inch high by 2-1/4 wide port.  This bit weighs 16.93 ounces for great feel and response.
    This is a
    GORGEOUS
