    Description

Vintage Aug1971 Seiko LM LordMatic 5606-5040 {Serviced} - In USA
Case and bracelet are mint! A few light marks on the end-links. End-links fit tight and not wiggling around. Bracelet is original and correct to the model. Fits up to a 7 inch wrist very comfortably.
Dial is nearly NOS condition but for a tiny scratch just above the post that holds the hands that  is nearly/generally invisible to the naked eye. Please use the zoom on all pics.
The lug width is 19 mm. The case diameter is about 32 mm (excluding crown), vertical (from lug to lug) about 39 mm, thickness about 10 mm (including crystal).
Case has very sharp lines and in extraordinary condition. Crystal is clear and scratch free.
Running well, good power reserve, keeping time within 30 seconds per day at this time of writing, accuracy of time-keeping can vary after shipping, with climate and usage. To be on the safe side, all vintage watches are advertised as +/- 1 minute / day.
NOTE: The 5606 series were mostly all 23 jewel movements, however a few higher grade 25 jewel movements were also used.
This particular timepiece features the 25J variation
as indicated by the '25 jewels' on the dial and the '25J' stamped into the rotor (oscillating weight).
    H
    acking mechanism working correctly.
All numbers on the date wheel are mint but for some scratches / smudges on #24 & 30. All days on the day wheel are mint and fit center in the window.
Hands turning smooth when setting the time. Also day and date function are real easy to turn / flip. Date flips very exactly at 11:58.
    Serial# 183740
Please use the zoom function closely with every picture as the pictures are a part of the description.
Usage and Care of Vintage Seiko LM
    Note
    :
Always set day and date with the hour hand between 4 & 6, and during PM hours
, to avoid breaking the watch and to preserve best function of the watch. If you set the day date function at anywhere between 10 & 2, it can break the function in Seiko LM models.
Do not flip day/date too fast or too often for best care.
Always turn days and dates slowly and gently
and set as infrequently as possible for best care and least wear and least aging.
    Avoid using manual wind function
with vintage automatic watches as it is unnecessary and adds more wear, friction and aging to the watch. Charge the watch by kinetic movement (motion) instead.
If you have any questions about this lovely piece of machinery, please don't hesitate to contact me anytime.
This watch was designed to be water resistant & shock resistant. However, I have not and would never test these features on any vintage watch and
highly recommend not dropping or exposing your vintage watch to water/rain/moisture
    .
This watch is very old. Water and shock damage should be avoided always with vintage watches regardless of specifications and original designs and are not guaranteed.
Service history is unknown. Sold as is. For daily use, a full service is recommended.
Customs, Duties & Taxes for International Shipments
For all international orders, the buyer is responsible for any duties, taxes, delays or fees imposed by their local customs department. Estimated shipping times do NOT include time your order remains with customs! Customs processing, inspections, holds or delays are beyond the control of anyone.
Note: There may be additional delays due to the pandemic during the current situation so please allow some extra time and patience for certain orders to certain regions.

    My Purpose
I am an honest seller and will never cheat someone or knowingly sell any watches with undisclosed problems. My main purpose is to help you find a vintage watch that is reliable and just what you are looking for. If for any reason you are not satisfied, I would like an opportunity to resolve or correct any issues so please let me know and we can work out any issues that may arise.
    Returns
So far I have not had watches have arrive to buyers damaged or not working properly, however vintage watches are machines, old machines, and can break at any time, so if there are any problems with your watch when it arrives, please let me know! I do accept returns and I am very reasonable, understanding and helpful, and not a greedy seller.
