History of Chistopolska watchmaking factory "Vostok":
Chistopolska Watch Factory "Vostok" begins its history in autumn 1941, when the  second Moscow Watch factory was evacuated to the small town of Chistopol.
Together with the equipment of the Moscow watchmaking plant arrived in  Chistopol from Moscow 488 specialists.
But the workers were not enough, had to recruit employees from the locals.
In the spring of 1942 the plant began serial production of military-purpose  watch devices, and by July 1 it earned its full capacity.
Immediately after the end of the war the plant began to produce mechanical wrist  watches, which became its main product.
The Chistopolska Watch factory in 1965 became the official supplier of watches  for the Ministry of Defense of the Soviet Union.
It was then that the company created the Watch "Komandirskie", known today  all over the world. "Komandirskie" for all these years not only have not lost  the attractiveness of the
representatives of the most courageous professions, but also have won strong  recognition in people of strictly peaceful professions, first of all due to the  accuracy, surplus reserve of reliability and Resistance to adverse environmental  influences.
The experience gained during the development of the army hours was the basis of  the next model of special watches-"Amphibia". This watch in a massive stainless  steel case withstands pressure at a depth of 200 meters.
