Waterman 0552 1/2 V ring-top overlay fountain pen in SMOOTH GOLD-FILLED

Offered for sale is a Waterman 452 1/2 V sterling overlay ring-top fountain pen in the rare and desirable smooth pattern, ca. 1928.
This is in much better than average condition with no major dings, dents, cracks, repaired cracks, gouges, or other common defects in the smooth overlay. There is some minor surface wear as shown in the photos. There is one tiny flea bite in the cap, too small to capture in a photo. There are no engraved names or initials. There is a little brassing as shown in the photos, but overall condition is excellent.
The pen is restored with a new sac and has been ultrasonically cleaned. The nib is a nice medium Waterman #2 with decent semi-flex and nice line variation.
